Ridgepole Celebrations at the Office Complex Business Garden Ri

The ridgepole celebrations started with the traditional placement of a wreath on the highest points of first two buildings. Romāns Astahovs, the Managing Director of contracting entity Vastint Latvia SIA, expressed gratitude for excellent work done so far: "Just seven months ago we placed a time capsule in the foundation of these buildings, but now we are on the roof and are celebrating reaching of the highest point. An impressive job is done in such a short time. This would not be possible if not for all the people involved in the construction, for all the team work. And for that I would like to say special thanks to everyone here. These buildings are becoming a landmark that won't go unnoticed by both city residents and leisure and business visitors arriving from the airport."

High praises for results of the first construction stage were expressed also by Juris Pētersons, the Member of the Board from Skonto Būve SIA acting as the general contractor.

During the first stage, two Business Garden Riga office buildings are constructed with the total leasable area of 14 200 square meters, as well as underground parking and extensive on-site parking for office workers and visitors. There will be a total of five buildings with the total office space exceeding 42 000 square meters.

The buildings are to be completed at the beginning of 2019.

Skonto Būve Participates in Time Capsule Embedding for Shopping Centre Origo Expansion

On 15 May 2018, the Shopping Centre Origo expansion and business centre Origo One construction was officially opened and a time capsule for future generations was immured.

The time capsule embedding event was attended by Skonto Group President Guntis Rāvis, who addressed the attendees: "Linstow and Skonto Group have been cooperating for decades. Together we have built the first and largest shopping centres in Latvia – Dole, Galerija Centrs, Mols and Origo. And this long-term cooperation is a clear indication of the quality, stability and knowledge we offer. Areas around city stations are often worn-down, dusty and gloomy, but quality projects with professional implementation can change face of a city. Skonto Group had the pleasure of participating in the Origo construction 15 years ago, and we are happy to take on this expansion project. Every one of us can have impact on Riga's outlook, and Skonto Group proudly and happily shares its experience and knowledge and participates in projects that shape the cityscape."

With this project, the Shopping Centre Origo leasable area will increase more than twofold thanks to three lower floors allocated to retail space. The three upper floors will host the business centre Origo One with innovative class A offices. The planned investment for this impressive project is 70 million euro. The construction is to be completed by October 2019.
