It is planned to renovate four existing sections of the tracks.The construction works will take place simultaneously in several stages:

• Stage 1 – from Raiņa Street to Jaunā Ostmala;
• Stage 2 – crossing of Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street and Peldu;
• Stage 3 – section of Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street from Rožu Street to Jūrmalas Street;
• Stage 4 – section of Krišjāņa Valdemāra Street from Jūrmalas Street to Robežu Street.

The renovation plans include the replacement of 1,600m of tracks, replacement or protection of the adjacent utility networks, renovation of road pavement and construction of new sidewalks.
