CENTRUS is the last quarter in the centre of Riga that has been permitted to build on completely. It is located in the active part of the city centre, between Dzirnavu, Tērbatas, Blaumaņa and K. Barona Streets.
Two 7-storey residential buildings with commercial premises on the ground floors and total area of 9,700 m2 have been built in the quarter. A convenient pedestrian promenade connecting Dzirnavu Street and Blaumaņa Street has been developed as well. Underground areas of the quarter provide for short-term and long-term parking for residents and guests of the buildings, as well as other residents of Riga. Apartments are offered to buyers fully finished.
Stage 2 construction works of CENTRUS quarter were started in the summer of 2014. Construction works in both buildings were finished at the end of 2015. The project was ordered by LLC Centrus Real One, and the general contractor was Skonto Būve.

Performed works: Monolith reinforced concrete framework, light concrete block filling of isles. Glazed aluminium facades and window systems. Roof and terrace insulation and cover. Heat insulation of façade, prefabricated reinforced concrete structures, copper finishing of façade, decorative plaster of façade. Elevators. Finish works in the common use areas and the apartments. Furniture. Engineering communications: water, sewage, heating, ventilation, wiring, access control, TV/data systems, fire alarm, sprinkler system. Developed areas: cobblestone paving and plantings.
Challenges: Construction works in the historic centre of the city with narrow access to the object. Deliveries of large-dimension cargos by closing the access streets. Building the designed buildings next to historic buildings. Monitoring of the existing historic buildings.
